Dichroic is defined as the property of a surface of reflecting light of one color and transmitting light of another color. Dichroic glass is produced in a vacuum chamber by which multiple thin layers of exotic oxides and materials are vaporized on to the glass substrate. Transmitted colors are what you see looking through the glass, reflected colors are the colors you see when you hold the glass at an angle.
